Build A Project in Collaboration with Concrete Couch

How We Build Projects with Community Groups

We work in a community; connect with a group of people; help connect them with others in their community; and do something amazing for a local park, school or public space. On the way, people learn new skills, work with tools they’ve never used before and experience collaboration with others. And the result is something wonderful for the community to enjoy and for our participants to be proud of because they designed and built it.

Who We Work With
We work with all kinds of schools, all kinds of people, and all kinds of community groups. We also work with military families, sports teams, and garden/cooking/environmental/other clubs. We work with juvenile offenders, senior citizens, differently-abled adults, and people fulfilling community service hours.

Name a group and we have probably worked with them. District 2, 8, 11, 12, 14, 20, and 49; El Paso County, Manitou Springs, and CS Parks Departments; Meadows Park, Deerfield Hills and Hillside Community Centers; Imagination Celebration; Inside Out Youth Group; Pikes Peak Library District; the YMCA; Energy Resource Center; Habitat for Humanity ReStore; Colorado Springs Food Rescue; Organization of Westside Neighbors and CONO; Hillside Harvest; Kids on Bikes; Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum; Community Prep School; PPCC, UCCS and Colorado College; and numerous other groups.

We bring in people who share our vision, including volunteers, teachers, business leaders, grantors, suppliers, municipalities, and other organizations. And we’d LOVE to have YOU join us!

Our Process
When schools, neighborhood groups, organizations, agencies, or individuals need help, they come to us. We help coordinate, brainstorm, plan, educate and execute. With over ten years’ experience in transforming fanciful ideas into reality — and doing it in a fun, exciting, educational way — we can help.

How It Works
1. Peruse this website, look at our Facebook page, talk to our partners,
e-mail us or give us a call.

2. Think it might work for you and your organization?
The next step is to fill out our project planning sheet, e-mail us the completed PPS,
and schedule a meeting with CC staff.

3. We have a meeting at your facility (or neighborhood meeting spot),
and with the project planning sheet as a guide we develop the project,
funding plan, and set project work session dates.

4. CC staff will follow up with a draft contract with responsibilities delineated,
and follow-up documents as needed (additional insured and payment paperwork, for example).

5. After review of contracts, we will finalize documents and calendars, and start program!

6. After the projects completion, plan on meeting us for an analysis/feedback session.
